The payment provider takes the 2% fee; the fund does not receive it. The fund gets $5.

Frequently asked questions
Why ≈ $111 per person?
This is the approximate cost of a full month of care for one lonely person: basic groceries and medicine as needed. Few people give the whole amount alone, so several sponsors support a person together. Your gift of any size becomes part of this amount.
How do you choose whom to help?
Each person in our care is personally checked by a fund helper in their own city: the helper sees the conditions the person lives in and decides on the help themselves. We do not work from paper applications and do not add people from other organisations' lists.
Where will my gift go?
If you choose “Where most needed”, we direct it where the least has been raised this month. If you choose a person from the list, the gift goes to them until their month is covered, and the surplus then goes to the next person in our care who is struggling most.
Why is monthly support better than a one-off gift?
Regular sponsors give the fund predictability: we know in advance that we will be able to bring help next month too. You can change the amount or cancel your sponsorship yourself at any time, in your donor account: sign in with your email, no password.
Is this a one-off gift or a subscription?
One-off. A gift to an appeal is paid once, there is no monthly subscription here, so there is nothing to cancel.
Who exactly will receive the gifts?
Children of servicemen of the Air Command “Centre”: pilots, anti-aircraft gunners and soldiers of other units. Among them are children of defenders who were killed. Each gift is bought from the letter of a specific child and handed to them in person at the celebration.
How can I check that an appeal is real?
The fund held this celebration last year: gifts based on the children's letters were bought and handed over at Santa's Residence at VDNH. Photos from it are on the appeal page, and the fund's registration details are on the “Transparency” page.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
A donation to a Ukrainian charity is usually not tax-deductible outside Ukraine. In your donor account you can download a statement of your gifts for the year; sign in with the email you give when paying.
How does payment work?
After you choose an amount you go to the secure page of the payment service WayForPay, where you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never see or store your card details.
