Public offer
Terms of a charitable gift
In short and in plain language: what your gift is for, how to change the amount, how to cancel monthly support and what to do if you were charged by mistake.
Edition October 2026. If anything in the document seems unclear, write to us and we will explain it more simply.
1.Who accepts the gift
Charitable gifts are accepted by "REAL HELP" INTERNATIONAL CHARITY FUND (in English "REAL HELP" INTERNATIONAL CHARITY FUND), EDRPOU code 44930566, registered 03.05.2023, non-profit code 0036 (charitable organisations).
Address, legal and actual, is the same: 7 Chyzhevskoho Dmytra St., Kyiv 03148, Ukraine. Phone +38 (093) 146-97-41, email hello@realhelpfund.org.
These details can be checked in the open state registers. How to do this is explained on the page about transparency.
2.What the gift is for
The fund buys groceries, medicine and care products for lonely low-income elderly people and pays for the visits of the helpers who deliver this help.
A full month of care for one person costs ≈ $111. Your gift is a share of that amount: several sponsors together cover one person's month. We do not promise that a particular amount will become a particular set of groceries, because we buy in bulk and the contents depend on the person's needs that month.
Part of the gifts goes on the fund's work: transport, communication, bank fees, helpers' pay. Without these costs the help would not reach the person. The site adds no separate surcharge “for the fund's work”: exactly the amount you saw in the total before paying is charged.
3.Monthly support
By choosing monthly support you agree to a regular charge of the chosen amount from your card until you cancel. The first charge happens immediately, the following ones on the 1st of every month.
You can change the amount or cancel support at any time: in your donor account, which you open with your email address, or by contacting the fund. Cancellation takes effect from the next charge. Gifts already made are not refunded, and the refund terms are described in section 5.
4.One-off gift
A one-off gift is charged once. There will be no further charges.
5.Refunds and cancellation: procedure
A charitable gift is not refunded at the donor's wish. The reason is not bureaucratic: the money goes into the bulk purchase of groceries and medicine for that same month, so by the time you ask it has already been handed to specific people.
A mistaken or double charge is refunded in full. The procedure is as follows:
- write to hello@realhelpfund.org or call +38 (093) 146-97-41 and give the date, the amount and the last four digits of the card;
- we check this against the fund's record of receipts, usually the same working day;
- if a charge is truly mistaken, the fund arranges a refund through the payment provider to the same card;
- the money is returned by the card-issuing bank, and the timeframe depends on it: usually up to a few working days, in some banks up to 30 days. We cannot shorten this period and do not promise a specific date.
Monthly support can be cancelled at any time and without explanation in donor account. Cancellation stops FUTURE charges. Gifts that have already gone to help stay with the people who received them, and the current month is not recalculated. You can also change the amount there: the new amount applies from the next charge.
If you cannot access your donor account, write to hello@realhelpfund.org, and we will cancel the support manually.
6.Surplus and funds that could not be used as intended
A gift for a specific person goes to that person until their month is covered. A full month of care for one person costs ≈ $111. If your gift exceeds what the person lacks to reach this amount, the surplus goes to the next person in our care who has received the least this month.
If every person's month is already covered, the remainder is not spent or distributed at random: it is recorded separately in the fund's internal ledger and carried over to the next month, to help the same people.
A gift to the common pool is directed by the fund to where the least has been raised this month.
For a themed appeal the fund publishes on its page the goal in hryvnias and the date until which the appeal runs. If the appeal cannot be carried out as announced or the amount raised exceeds the goal, the fund directs these funds to its statutory activities, that is, to help for the people in the fund's care: groceries, medicine and care products. The funds are not returned to donors and are not used for purposes not provided for by the statute.
By making a gift you agree to this procedure for distributing the surplus and funds that could not be used for their original purpose. This consent is a condition of accepting the gift.
7.What you receive, and why there is no delivery
A gift is a charitable donation, not a purchase of goods or services. The payer receives neither goods nor services in return, and the fund takes on no material obligation to the payer.
There is no delivery to the payer, no delivery services, no goods. No goods are sold on the site, so there is no list of delivery cities and countries, and we will not invent one.
Where the help goes. The fund buys groceries and medicine in bulk and hands them overto the people in our care by hand: this is done by the fund's helpers, not by a delivery service. A gift for the current month goes into that same month's purchase. After the handover the helper makes a photo report.
What the fund does NOT promise. We do not promise that a particular amount will become a particular set of groceries, and we do not name the date of a particular handover: purchasing is in bulk, and the contents of a set depend on the person's needs that month. More in the section “What the gift is for” above.
Exchange and return of goods. The rules on exchange and return of goods of proper quality (including the right to exchange within 14 days) do not apply to a charitable gift, because there are no goods. Refunds of the MONEY itself are described in the refunds section above.
8.Payment methods
You can give by Visa or Mastercard on the payment page, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, or by transfer to the fund's bank details: they are published on the page contacts.
Settlements are in hryvnias. The charge is made in hryvnias; if your card is in another currency, your card-issuing bank applies its own rate and fee, and the fund has no influence on them.
The fund does not see or store card details. The payment is made on the secure page of a payment provider certified under the PCI DSS standard, and is confirmed with a one-time code from your bank under the 3-D Secure standard. Only the result of the operation is returned to the site. The confirmation services are called Visa Secure and Mastercard Identity Check.
The monthly schedule is kept by the payment service, not the fund. The schedule is created at your first payment, and after that the service itself makes the monthly charges. The fund stores neither your card number nor any card code.
You can change the amount or cancel support in your donor account; you do not need to contact your bank for this: the fund passes your decision to the payment service itself. After cancellation the fund separately checks that the schedule in the service has really been removed.
The payment provider adds its own processing fee to the gift. It does not belong to the fund and the fund does not receive it. The fee is 2% of the gift amount: for a gift of ≈ $11 (UAH 500) it is ≈ $0.22 (UAH 10), and the total to pay is ≈ $11 (UAH 510). The payment page also shows the same amount on separate lines before you confirm.
The fund receives the gift amount itself, that is, what you chose on the site. Nothing is charged beyond the total shown by the bank.
9.Your data
An email address is needed for a gift: it opens your sign-in to the donor account, where you can see your gifts and change or cancel monthly support. Name is optional. The fund does not see or store card details: they are processed by the payment provider.
Exactly what we collect, how long we keep it and how to delete it is described in the privacy policy.
10.Financial statements
A fund helper photographs every handover of help: what was bought, for whom and when.
We provide the fund's financial statements on request: write to hello@realhelpfund.org, and we will send it to you. The annual financial statements for 2023–2025 are ready to be sent.
11.Privacy of the people in our care
Stories and photos of people are published only with their consent. We use first names only, no surnames, and we do not publish addresses, phone numbers, exact dates of birth or pension amounts.
12.Changes to the terms
The fund may change these terms. The current edition is always on this page, and its header states the month of the edition. If a change affects monthly donors, the fund warns of it before the next charge: in the donor account and on this page.
