Tetiana Vasylivna has been used all her life to being beside people who need help. While still very young she worked as an orderly in an infectious diseases ward, work that was hard not only physically but also emotionally. Later, for many years she was a teacher's assistant in a kindergarten, where children were always drawn to her kindness and calm.
Her life also included heavy men's work, 7 years at “Pidzembud”. But today this work experience cannot be confirmed: the documents have been lost.
Tetiana Vasylivna is 76 now. She lives with constant pain from arthritis and osteoporosis, and has heart problems and chronic bronchitis. But even on such days she does not allow herself to grow bitter or lose her warmth towards people.
When volunteers come to her, she always greets them with a smile and asks whether anyone among the neighbours needs help. And in her free time she loves to embroider pictures, carefully, thread by thread, creating beauty even when her own life is full of difficulties.
