Mrs. Zinaida's story

Zinaida Heorhiivna gave 39 years of her life to hard but honest work. She worked as a cook, feeding people tastily, generously and with love, as only a woman with a kind heart can. Her hands remember the warmth of the oven, the smell of fresh bread and countless happy meals she prepared for others.

Now Zinaida Heorhiivna has disability group 2. She has only one kidney, permanently high blood pressure and severely aching joints. It is hard for her to move and even harder to go through examinations and treatment, because there is simply not enough money. Her pension barely covers the essentials.

But despite all the hardship, she does not lose the light in her eyes. She always greets us with a warm word and a sincere smile. Her heart is open, and her gratitude is heartfelt, to tears.
