Mrs. Halyna's story

A gentle, sensitive and kind woman who worked hard and honestly all her life. Work experience: 37 years. She started at 14 at a sugar factory, then 16 years at a meat processing plant, and later 30 years at a radio plant, as an archivist. She lived through war, famine and a second war. She is left a widow, completely alone; her two daughters live abroad and cannot help.

Her health has long been undermined: stomach surgery, a hernia, eye operations (her eyesight is down to only 16%), a spinal injury, hypertension, severe headaches, cramps in her legs. She needs medicine constantly; one can endure a lot for a long time, but health is only one, and it can no longer take it.

Pavlivna stays silent, endures the pain and does not ask for anything extra. But deep in her soul she holds on to the hope that there are still kind people who will not leave her in this hardship.
