The life of Mykola Vasylovych changed radically after a severe head injury he suffered in 1988. It was after this that serious health problems began, which only grew worse over the years.

Today Mykola Vasylovych has almost completely lost his hearing and sight, has disability group 2 and many chronic illnesses. Because of his complicated state of health he often goes into hospital, and now he especially needs an expensive operation that could improve his condition at least in part.

He is divorced. His son lives with him, with disability group 2, who also needs support and help. His daughter lives abroad and cannot be by his side all the time.

Mykola Vasylovych lives very modestly. Almost his whole pension goes on medicine, examinations and basic needs, so it is practically impossible for him to set money aside for an operation himself. That is why he asks for help with at least basic groceries, so that he has a chance to gather part of the money for treatment.

Lately, because of constant hardship and his state of health, he has almost lost faith that anything can change. But at every visit of the volunteers he sincerely thanks us and says that our help gives him back at least a little hope for life and supports him at the hardest moments.
