Larysa YevhenivnaFund helper, knows her personallyVira Maksymivna is a person who devoted most of her life to caring for others. From the age of 18 she worked in medicine: first as a senior nurse in a children's polyclinic, and later at the “Veles” medical centre. Vira Maksymivna's total work experience is 38 years.
All her life she helped people, supported patients and bore daily responsibility for the health of others. But fate had hard trials in store for her.
In 2006 Vira Maksymivna lost her son. And in spring 2025 her daughter died too. Today she is left with her 18-year-old grandson, who studies at a computer technology college and tries to support his grandmother as best he can.
Because of her serious state of health Vira Maksymivna hardly leaves her flat. She has many chronic illnesses, including Parkinson's disease, cancer, problems with the musculoskeletal system and other complex diagnoses that make everyday life much harder.
Her pension is only ≈ $93, and this critically falls short of what she needs for medicine, treatment and basic needs. That is why help from the fund has become important support for Vira Maksymivna and a feeling that she has not been left alone with her difficulties.
Despite all her losses and trials, Vira Maksymivna very sincerely thanks us for every bit of help, attention and human warmth, which mean an extraordinary amount to her today.
