Mrs. Olha's story

A very kind, sensitive woman who gave all her life to people and work. She started working at 18, with 36 years of work experience in total. She worked at a reserve plant (machine room), then as a cook at the “Pratsia” sanatorium. The pension is small, but one has to live.

She lives with her son, who is now at war. Illness often torments her, and there is not enough money for treatment. She has had an operation on her thyroid gland and now hears badly; she needs a hearing aid but cannot buy one. Hypertension, constant pain. There is not enough money for medicine, utilities, food, for everything.

Antonivna stays silent, endures and does not complain. But in her soul she still holds on to the hope that there are people who will not walk past another's pain.
