Larysa YevhenivnaFund helper, knows her personallyDespite her difficult state of health and loneliness, she keeps finding the strength to care not only for herself but also for the space around her. Near her building one can always see flowers, bushes she planted with her own hands and seedlings, which she buys even from her small pension. She says that when the yard blooms, life feels a little warmer for people.
She once worked for 20 years as a parts picker at a tank repair plant, work that demanded attention, endurance and great responsibility. Later she was an assistant to a district council deputy, and today she continues community work in the “Cerebral” union of people with disabilities, supporting people who also live with difficult diagnoses.
She has disability group 2 and many chronic illnesses: arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, eyesight problems, and a past heart attack. Everyday life comes with pain, constant medication and physical limitations.
This woman lives alone. Despite this, she has not lost her love of life and her wish to do something good for others. Her small flower bed by her home has become a real expression of care for people and of belief that even in hard circumstances one can leave beauty behind.
Today she needs support, groceries, medicine and simple human warmth. For a person who lives alone this means much more than just help.
